It was a Wild Summer at the library


Our summer reading programme concluded with the beginning of Autumn last week. We were really pleased with the level of participation this year and congratulate all the kids who took part. Lots of books were read and all participants were entered into our Wild Summer competition with prize winners rewarded at a little ceremony in the library last Thursday night.

The Competition
The competition was run over the Summer period. Entry into the competition was by either;
• Watching “Where the Wild Things Are” and borrowing a book from the Leeton Library
or
• By completing a reading log of five books.
Each entrant received incentive prizes and at the conclusion of the competition five random entries were drawn by the Friends of Leeton Library (FOLL) members.

The entries
The Library received 51 entries into the competition.

• Samantha Pianca

What they got
The winners received a library bag containing various items including vouchers from local businesses.

What they read
Books that were read included titles such as;
• The boy who was raised by Librarians by Carla Morris
• The penultimate peril by Lemony Snicket
• Miss Spider’s tea party by David Kirk
• Black dog by by Pamela Allen
• After the Storm by Lauren Brooke
